Several years ago Tony Liddle announced over the microphone that a cat had talked to him. He announced this odd event to everyone’s amazement to a full house at The Cross Keys Hotel Venue, Barnsley, South Yorkshire. For years he has lived in fear of mental health organisations until an actual sound recording was found on a family Christmas video clip. The camera was in another room filming Christmas events when the cat spoke so no video footage is available, but by experienced sound enhancement it has been discovered that the cat’s voice was also recorded.

Tony let the cat in from the snow and opened its favourite food for a Christmas Eve treat. The clock turned 12pm when, it happened …"TONY I LOVE YOU" said the cat. The recording ends abruptly because the video was turned off. The discovery of this recording has been the main inspiration behind the Strange Street Records website – a chance for Tony to prove once and for all that he had not lost his mind, and was perfectly safe to wander free in society. Please listen to the talking cat and spread the good word for Tony’s sake.
